I am so excited to be sharing you the plan for next term, next year, is to weave our way through the Ethics in Yoga according to Patanjali's Yoga Sutras
These sessions will be accessible to all, no matter your experience of yoga but also suit regular practitioners who want to develop greater understanding of the ethics behind yoga according to ancient Hatha Yoga texts
We will start back Monday 4th January with the Yamas comprising of firstly
The outer observances, known as the Yamas
Ahimsa (non-harming or non-violence in thought, word and deed)
Satya (truthfulness)
Asteya (non-stealing)
Brahmacharya (celibacy or 'right use of energy')
Aparigraha (non-greed or non-hoarding)
And then the inner observances from Patanjali's Yoga Sutra's (threads) which list five niyamas, which apply specifically to how you conduct yourself on a more personal level
Saucha Cleanliness.
Santosha Contentment.
Tapas Self Discipline.
Svadhyaya Self Study.
Isvara-pranidhana Surrender.
And in true form will be exploring these on a personal experiential level, within gentle mobilisation, breath work and relaxation techniques
